About this policy
The Sandlot Children's Charity ("The Sandlot," "we," "us") respects the privacy of our donors, participants, families, volunteers, and friends. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
It applies to our website, our online giving pages, our events, our programs (including The Sandbox and our inclusive sports clinics), and our email communications.
We collect only the information we need to process gifts, run our programs and events, and stay in touch.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share donor or participant information with other organizations for their own fundraising or marketing.
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only as needed for them to do so:
These providers have their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.
If you would like your gift to be anonymous, just let us know and we will not list your name publicly.
We serve people of all ages and abilities, so families sometimes share information about a disability, health need, or accommodation. We ask for this only when it helps us include you safely, and sharing it is always your choice.
We treat this information as confidential. Only staff, and program partners directly involved in serving you, can see it. We never use it for fundraising or marketing, and we never share or publish it without your permission.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about a child participant comes from a parent or guardian, who can review, update or ask us to delete it at any time. We will not publish photos or stories that identify a participant without permission from the participant or their parent or guardian.
Online payments are processed securely by Mightycause and Greater Giving. The Sandlot does not store full credit card numbers. Checks are deposited promptly, and paper records are kept secure. We limit access to our donor database to the people who need it for their work.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by contacting us. You can also ask us to:
When you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, or other platforms, or give through a third-party fundraiser, that platform's own privacy policy applies. Our website may link to other sites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date below shows when it was last revised.
